The Ethics Committee has released its first ethics procedures.
They complement the principles of the Business Code of Conduct regarding :
- gifts and invitations ;
- corporate philanthropy and sponsorship.
These new procedures are effective from 1 July 2021. They apply to all group entities, including satellites.
The objective is to set guidelines for gifts & invitations and corporate philanthropy & sponsorship in order to prevent these actions from constituting or being perceived as corruption.
The new rules are detailed in the procedures and encourage more transparency. This is particularly the case for gifts and invitations, which must now all be declared to the N+1 (or for external employees to the reference contact person) and are subject to prior approval above €150 excluding VAT.
