Econocom is a pioneer in the circular digital economy and has taken a major step forward in its CSR approach with the launch of “Impact,” a digital medium embodying the company’s roadmap and its corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments. This initiative is part of the “One Econocom” strategic plan, which places impact at the heart of its vision.
In line with the rising importance of extra-financial indicators – particularly with the entry into force of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) – this digital medium highlights the Group’s achievements and indicators. However, its role goes far beyond that of a simple showcase. It offers a privileged space for in-depth discussions, the sharing of experience and perspectives on the challenges facing the sector. As pointed out by VĂ©ronique di Benedetto, Vice-President of Econocom France in charge of CSR and Impact, this new medium stands out for its educational and informative dimension, actively contributing to raising awareness and understanding of contemporary societal challenges.
“We’re now in a situation where it’s vital to measure not only our financial progress, but also our extra-financial progress. The launch of “Impact” perfectly aligns with this dynamic,” remarks VĂ©ronique di Benedetto.
The “Impact” medium is deploying a programme of multi-faceted content (infographics, podcasts, videos, articles, etc.) to give concrete visibility to the Group’s CSR commitments. As VĂ©ronique di Benedetto explains “This medium aims to highlight Econocom’s KPIs and actions and to demonstrate our progress in a tangible manner. We also want to get our customers and partners talking in order to create a virtuous circle. This is the first building block in a long-term approach. Above all, I hope that all the countries in the Group will contribute to this medium.”
Online since Monday 25 March 2024, the “Impact” medium is aimed at both Econocom employees who want to share their experiences of the Group’s initiatives and also external stakeholders (partners, suppliers, customers, etc.).
“The CSR dimension is at the heart of our One Econocom strategic plan. Ultimately, we plan to integrate the notion of responsibility into all our offerings and all our actions in order to make our footprint as small as possible and our positive impact as strong as is achievable,” clarifies VĂ©ronique di Benedetto. “This will enable us to continue to strengthen our employer brand, our ability to meet our customers’ expectations with 100% responsible offerings, and to making a positive contribution to the development of the territories in which we operate.”
