Business resilience over the first nine months of 2021

Econocom Group generated revenue of €1,800 million for the first nine months of 2021, virtually flat (-0.3%¹) compared to the same period last year. 

As expected, Q3 2021 business continued to be impacted by global supply-chain problems affecting certain components used in the production of digital assets.

Over the period, the following developments took place:

• Services posted revenue of €393 million, up 1.0%¹. Growth was primarily driven by Managed Services (+3.7%), albeit curbed by a challenging base of comparison in two subsidiaries. The segment is pursuing its selective policy targeting high value-added contracts while leveraging corporate demand for support in digital projects.
• Outlook 

  Benefiting from favourable market trends, the Group intends to pursue its development by focusing on its targeted acquisition policy in order to strengthen its presence in certain regions and promote synergies between the various business lines. The Group will strive to adapt to the changing supply situation in order to meet demand as far as possible.

Recent zijn er publicaties en artikelen verschenen, waarin Econocom wordt vermeld in relatie tot het ontslag van een voormalig manager. Econocom doet nooit uitspraken gedurende nog lopende onderzoeken en juridische procedures. In dit specifieke geval bevestigt Econocom Nederland B.V. dat het slachtoffer is geworden van onrechtmatig handelen door deze ex-medewerker.

Econocom werkt actief samen met alle betrokken instanties en stelt alles in het werk om alle feiten in deze complexe situatie boven tafel te krijgen.

Recently there have been publications and articles in which Econocom is mentioned in relation to the dismissal of a former  manager. Econocom never makes statements during ongoing investigations and legal proceedings. In this specific case,  Econocom Nederland B.V. confirms that it has become a victim of unlawful acts by this ex-employee.

Econocom actively cooperates with all  the authorities involved and makes every effort to uncover all the facts in this complex situation.

12 October 2021, Econocom, Europe’s first digital general contractor, has announced that its satellite Alter Way, an emblematic player in open source in France, will be joining the Smile group, which seeks to bolster its role as Europe’s open-source leader. Alter Way will remain a special business partner to Econocom in open-source services.
