Organisation Econocom International and Transverse TMF
First of all, I would like to wish you all, and your loved ones, an excellent year 2021, full of health, happiness and success on all levels.
After a year 2020 affected by the pandemic and by our transformation plan, full of challenges (Drakkar, NFD zero…), which tested our ability to adapt and forced us all to overcome ourselves, we are entering together a new stage of growth and development.
To this end, and through this communication, I would like to take stock of the situation regarding the organisation that should enable us to develop our international activities and our TMF business in a strong, sustainable and healthy way.
As you know, we have decided to focus our geographical presence in order to allocate our resources where we believe there is strong growth potential.
As a result, our international structure now has five areas of responsibility:
Benelux, under Chantal de Vrieze, Italy, under Emiliano Veronesi, UK & USA, under Frances Weston, Spain, under Carlos Perez-Herce, and Germany & Poland, under Christoph Blasër.
Reducing the number of sites will not prevent us from possibly carrying out operations with customers in neighbouring countries, or from entering into partnership agreements to support our customers where we are not present, as long as it is interesting and profitable, of course.
This will also allow us to invest smartly to strengthen our teams, as we have already begun to do, and as we will continue to do in 2021. I would like to welcome Michael Drake, who joined us at the beginning of January as Country Manager for the USA and who will be working alongside Frances.
Our focus everywhere will be on developing the highly synergistic TMF and P&S businesses, both organically and through targeted acquisitions. For P&S, we will be able to count on the advice and experience of P&S France.
In order to assist countries in cross-border operations we have set up the «International Deals» offer, led by Israel García, which we have already mentioned recently (see communication of 23 December).
We will continue to organically develop Services in Benelux and Spain, in coordination with Services France, in order to harmonise our global offer and improve our profitability.
To help redevelop the TMF activity throughout the Group, we have set up a three-pronged Transverse TMF:
- The TMF Refinancing team with Valérie Clar, supported by Pierre Toussaint and Emilien Chiappore, who also joined us recently, and who will help the development of the Group’s TMF units through : Helping to target and structure FAST (Strategic Asset Finance) transactions, guiding and analysing transactions to be located on ECO RE and SPV, and negotiating with the Group’s funders, banks and insurers involved in refinancing TMF transactions, whether to obtain better terms overall or to assist with specific transactions.
- The TMF IT & Process team, led by Quentin Bouchard, who will ensure the implementation of a roadmap established after a global and in-depth analysis of a situation that was not easy. The main objectives will be the harmonisation of TMF tools throughout the Group, as well as the improvement of their functionalities and interfacing with other Group tools (CRM, SAP…), in order to facilitate better customer service and achieve greater internal efficiency.
- The overall management of the P&L Atos, under the responsibility of Samira Draoua, a client with whom we have been working for years in several countries, but with whom we can significantly improve our results if we achieve better coordination.
I hope that this will be the case with other clients, as we are already starting to see signs: if we work together, our overall results will be better and our image towards the major European groups will be strengthened.
So I invite you to work together to form a «business community». I am convinced that this will be one of the keys to our success. I will contact you (CM’s and other members of COMEX L), so that we can quickly think together about the best way to organise it.
To move forward in this new stage, I have appointed Alexandre Murati as Deputy Director in charge of international coordination, after a (very successful) stage as Head of the Transformation Office.
We still have everything to do, this is just a starting point, and I am counting on all of you to take up the challenge, this time with objectives of growth, development and profitability.
And it will be a great pleasure for me to be able to work alongside you to succeed together.
Regards,
