To mark <strong>European Sustainable Development Week 2023<\/strong>, which is running <strong>from now to 8 October<\/strong>, Econocom is getting involved with the third edition of its <strong>Cyber Cleanup Week challenge<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3e0d81\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">What is Cyber Cleanup Week?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Cyber Cleanup Week is a challenge aimed at organising a digital cleanup of data and thus reducing our collective environmental impact. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">In concrete terms, it\u2019s about cleaning up our mailboxes to reach the goal of reducing our digital environmental footprint by 7%, i.e. deleting <strong>10 million emails in two weeks!<\/strong> It\u2019s ambitious but perfectly achievable! Last year we managed to delete <strong>5 million emails!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3e0d81\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">What\u2019s in it for us?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\"><strong>Firstly<\/strong>, a significant reduction in our digital environmental footprint! <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\"><strong>Secondly<\/strong>, a result that we can be proud to reveal to our clients, our partners or our future talents and that will reinforce our leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3e0d81\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Why mobilise?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Because our daily actions \u2013 which seem to be few \u2013 strongly contribute to this crucial issue today! <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat\">Imagine: every email, every search or every video consumes energy and generates greenhouse gas emissions. On a global level, the impact of digital technology is between <strong>2% and 4.3% of total CO2 emissions<\/strong> and between <strong>5 and 10% of total electricity consumption<\/strong> depending on the source!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Montserrat;color: #ff997f\">So, ready for our challenge?
