Being a free spirit is no mean feat… With the launch of its new EASI, the group is demonstrating its ability to capture the zeitgeist in an offering that makes life easier for our clients whilst following a circular economy approach. Focus with JĂ©rĂŽme Lepaumier on a bold initiative that looks like a minor revolution.
In a world teeming with As-A-Service offerings, Econocom has created EASI (Econocom As a Service, for Impact) to meet our clientsâ complex requirements. The bold initiative has arisen from the ambition to make life easier for users whilst considering crucial issues such as equipment management, the financial aspects, and environmental and social impact, particularly refurbishment and reuse.
« EASI was shaped by clientsâ needs, » EASI Director JĂ©rĂŽme Lepaumier explains. After pretesting the offering at several company workshops arranged by the Econocom teams, it seemed obvious that clients were seeking simplicity, making it an added value within businesses, with improved relationships and processes.
Complete control in just one click
EASI is positioned as a cross-functional solution, a comprehensive response to everyday challenges such as managing user limitations, internal requests and IT assets. The objective is to make everything manageable in just one click thanks to a one-stop-shop concept.
Cost optimization was one of the key aspects raised at the client workshops. EASI addresses that demand by enabling them to optimize equipment ownership costs, thereby reducing the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) â a concept that covers not only the initial procurement cost, but also the use, maintenance and replacement costs.
A circular economy approach
« CSR is now the second purchase factor amongst buyers, » JérÎme Lepaumier stresses. To address that key issue, EASI is committed both to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and responsible contracting and delivery.
But what sets EASI apart from the competition is its commitment to sustainability as well as its seamless solution. In extending the equipmentâs lifespan insofar as possible, EASI is taking a circular economy approach, contributing to a virtuous circle.
The entire model is obviously based on usage: « For everything that weâre going to put in place, weâll work with our clients upstream on an extensive study of their assets. Depending on the data compiled, weâll adjust our workload management to give the equipment a second or even a third life, » JĂ©rĂŽme Lepaumier says.
For IT directors, « EASI will guarantee user satisfaction. » The ultimate aim is to enable the client to unlock value within the company. In that sense, EASI is a simplifier and facilitator.
Taking the lead in a fast-growing market
The EASI teams have an ambitious objective: to become the market leader. « The player that sets the pace and shows what can be done. And that paves the way, » JĂ©rĂŽme Lepaumier clarifies. An ambition that is fully part of the groupâs pioneering culture.
« The player that sets the pace and shows what can be done. And that paves the way. »
Finally, in the context of the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)[1], « the teamsâ immediate goal will be to adapt our reports so that clients can incorporate them into their non-financial reports within a seamless approach. Our role will be to assist our clients in implementing a responsible but high-impact digital strategy, » says TMF Chief Development Officer Gaelle Masson.
With that approach, Econocomâs EASI is positioned not only as a service provider, but also as an essential partner to help businesses meet growing requirements in terms of fluidity, simplicity and corporate social responsibility.
[1] The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive is a European directive on the publication of non-financial information by big businesses. Signed on 21 June 2022 then passed in parliament in November 2022, it will come into force in 2024 and require relevant businesses to provide annual updates on CSR issues.
