E-S : Gaëlle, can you tell us about the Produrable Expo?
Gaëlle Masson : The Produrable Expo launched in 2007 and has become Europe’s biggest sustainable development event under the umbrella of the Ecological Transition Ministry. It’s held in Paris annually and on 9 and 10 October this year. For the last seventeen years, it’s brought together stakeholders from all backgrounds who are committed to a new form of sustainable economics. They include CSR directors, green IT experts, procurement managers and sustainable development officers. Produrable hosts conferences and exhibitors from that ecosystem, like ADEME, which present their solutions for a more ecofriendly economy.
E-S : What will you do at Produrable this year?
Gaëlle Masson : My involvement will focus primarily on raising awareness of digital decarbonization. I will address different audiences, such as green IT experts, the general public, clients and institutions. We brought together over 100 people last year and we’ve had up to 300 attendees in the past. This year, my speech will last around 45 minutes. We’ve decided to partner the consultancy firm PAC (Pierre Audoin Consulting) to provide a combined perspective into the major challenge posed by the sustainable digital transformation.
E-S : What will be the highlights of this year’s event?
Gaëlle Masson : In the last two years, we’ve seen a real turning point: companies’ sustainable transformations are accelerating and becoming concrete. Directors and businesses are finally understanding their impact on the world. CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is becoming a business lever as it influences the products and services that appeal to consumers, attracts talents and generates value for the company. It’s not just an image issue anymore but a major strategic focus for businesses. We’ve moved from what was sometimes a superficial approach to a real, lasting transformation.
